The water cycle is a part of life on earth. All people and animals need the water cycle. The sun heats the water. The water evaporates into the air and becomes water vapor. When the water vapor rises into the air, it forms clouds. This is called condensation. Clouds are made up of millions of tiny water droplets. Clouds rise and cool. This causes precipitation. Precipitation can be rain, hail, or snow. It flows into streams and rivers. The heat from the sun makes the air warmer and causes water to evaporate. Then the cycle starts over again.
The water cycle is a part of life on earth. All people and animals need the water cycle, so it is important to learn about how the water cycle works. The sun heats the water from oceans, lakes, rivers and streams. The heated water evaporates, rising into the air, becoming water vapor. As the water vapor rises, it forms clouds. This is called condensation. Clouds rise and cool. This causes precipitation. Precipitation can be rain, hail, or snow. The precipitation falls from the clouds to the ground and into streams and rivers. The heat from the sun makes the air warmer and causes water to evaporate. Then the cycle starts over again. The water cycle is very important to life on earth.
