How to Make a Your Own Windsock
You will need:
Paper
Scissors
Markers
Tape
Pipe cleaner or wire
String
One stick or pole
Instructions:
Draw a line about 2 inches from the long edge of the paper. (This will be the collar.)
Decorate the paper and then roll it into a cylinder shape (like a paper tube.)
Tape the tube along the seam inside the collar.
Cut strips about 2 finger widths wide, up to the collar line. You now have a collar with strips hanging down.
Poke 2 holes in the collar, one on each side, and insert one end of the pipe cleaner in each hole to make a hanger loop.
Now use string to tie the windsock by its loop to the stick.
Place the stick in the ground. Done! See how it responds to wind!
Your windsock is ready... now it is time to measure the wind!
