Introduction and Goals
This is the first of two professional development modules designed to help you integrate the engineering design process into your regular science curriculum.
In this module, you will:
- deepen your understanding of the engineering design process;
- learn how engineering can be incorporated into your science instruction as per the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), which have been adopted in some form by most states;
- explore strategies to support student use of data and iteration to problem solve throughout the engineering design process;
- plan a design challenge that you can do with your students.
