DAISY DE LA ROSA, Project Director, Communities Putting Prevention to Work Obesity Prevention Project: We want to bring awareness to Boston residents about the importance of not drinking sugar-sweetened beverages. Right now, there is a strong link between the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages and obesity. We thought it was important that our media campaign also focused on youth.... We want to encourage other teens in Boston to get engaged and involved in the messaging around why not to drink so much soda and sugar-sweetened beverages.
