Archer Hadley is a high school student in Texas who has cerebral palsy, a disorder that affects movement and muscle coordination. Archer started the Wheelchair Challenge in order to raise money to install automatic doors at his school.
The contest involved students paying a fee to challenge their peers to spend a day in a wheelchair. By doing so, students grew more empathetic, as they experienced some of the challenges involved in maneuvering a wheelchair.
