Say Thank You
Make a lasting impression by writing a thank-you note after an interview. The note should not be longer than a few paragraphs. In the letter, you need to thank the employer for the interview, restate your interest in the job, and give a quick reminder of your skills and strengths.
You may wish to send a hand-written note or an e-mail. A hand-written note is more formal and may make a nice impression, but many experts recommend sending an e-mail instead.
You may prefer to send e-mail because it is faster, and it’s important to follow up within one day of the interview. Also, your name and contact information are more easily accessible to an employer if they are in his or her e-mail inbox instead of on a hand-written card. Finally, there is a chance that he or she might respond to an e-mail, and you can continue talking.
