Conserving water is just one more way to take care of our Earth. Conserving water might mean using our water more than one time (reuse), or just using less water (reduce). Here are some ideas to discuss with your reading partner:
Do you have a fish? When you give your fish fresh water, you could reuse the old fishbowl water by watering plants.
Do you brush your teeth? When you are brushing your teeth turn off the water. Don’t let the faucet run. You will reduce the amount of water you use.
You can make a rain gauge and build a rainbarrel, or use buckets to catch rain water. The next day, you can reuse the water you conserved to water a garden. Then you will reduce water used by not turning on your faucet.
