A producer can include a variety of engagement and assessment activities in an interactive lesson. The work that learners do in these activities is saved and can be viewed again by opening My Work. These activities can be set by producers so that learners can submit their work only once, or alternatively, can revise or restart their work.
A teacher can assign an interactive lesson to some or all students in a class or to individual students using the Assignment and Lesson Builder features on PBS LearningMedia and other compatible platforms. Assigning an interactive lesson through PBS LearningMedia allows the teacher to track whether or not a student has begun or completed a lesson, and can also access that student's saved work screen (My Work). Any lesson assigned to a student includes a final screen with a button that lets the student confirm that all work is complete.
Interactive lessons for teacher professional development can include a button on the final page that generates a certificate of completion.
The following pages provide examples of these engagement and assessment activities from a range of interactive lessons. Try them out and save your work as you go through each page.
