A Total Lunar Eclipse

A lunar eclipse is an opportunity to observe the motion of the Moon as it passes into Earth’s shadow. As viewed from Earth’s surface, when Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the Moon, the appearance of the Moon changes dramatically. As long as the skies are clear, it is easy to see a lunar eclipse. You do not need any special equipment to look at the Moon.
