A weather map is one way to present data about weather. Meteorologists, the scientists who study weather, use many tools to find that data for different weather factors.

A rain gauge measures how much rain has fallen. An anemometer measures wind speed and direction, and a thermometer measures temperature. Scientists also make observations of the sky to estimate how cloudy it is.
