Talk About It! Did you know that math has families too? Math families are called “fact families.”
A math fact family is a collection of addition and subtraction facts, or multiplication and division facts, all made from the same numbers.
For example, here is the addition & subtraction fact family for the numbers 7, 8, and 15:
7 + 8 = 15 (addition)
8 + 7 = 15 (addition)
15 - 8 = 7 (subtraction)
15 - 7 = 8 (subtraction)
