Almost all weather begins because of the sun. The sun provides the energy. The energy raises temperatures on earth. It raises temperatures on earth unevenly. The uneven warming causes the movement of air. Combining sun energy, air movement and the rotating earth gives you a weather machine!

Meteorologists observe weather conditions and weather patterns. They use their observation data to make weather predictions are called forecasts. Weather forecasts are only educated guesses. By studying air masses, pressure systems, humidity and temperature, meteorologists can predict or forecast weather with good results.
