Organize your response so that it includes at least three supporting details that you have learned from the reading passage, video, and other materials in this lesson.
Use at least three vocabulary words (or a form of the words) as part of your supporting details. For example, for the word jump, you could use jumps, jumped, or jumping.
Essay Topics
Imagine that you are a Native American watching the settlers arrive in your region. Write what you see, and then describe how you feel about these new arrivals and how you think they may change the way you live.
Imagine that you are an American settler traveling to the West. Write a journal entry describing some of the things you observe about the land, animals, and people along the way.
