Like animals, plants need water. Plants also need sunlight to live and grow.
Plants make their own food from water, air, and sunlight.
Almost all plants get the water they need from soil. They take in the water through their roots.
Most plants that have enough water stand up straight and tall. Most that don’t have enough water droop or have dry leaves.
