Humans are an important agent of change on Earth. In this lesson, you will examine how human activities change the air around us and how this impacts environmental public health. You’ll learn how continuous monitoring of the changes that are occurring provides a deeper understanding of the way in which human activities are impacting the Earth system. This, in turn, provides the basis for social policies, regulations, and the development of technologies that can reduce these impacts.
In the screens that follow, you will examine a topic in environmental public health and begin to think about ways to incorporate similar topics into your middle school curriculum. You will watch videos, use interactive activities, answer questions, and take notes. Be sure to record your answers in the space provided and click "Save." At the end, you will plan your own classroom activity that incorporates environmental public health-related content into your curriculum.
