Earth is always in motion. On the outside, our planet constatnly rotates on its axis, and revolves around the sun.
And on the inside, Earth has numerous layers of rock, from crust to core, that never stay still.
In this lesson you will peel back those layers and learn about the churning and turning that constantly occur below the ground,
Over the next few pages you’ll learn how processes inside the Earth shape the surface. You’ll watch two short animations that explain the structure of Earth, and how what’s going on in the mantle can change landforms on the surface. After taking notes and online quizzes, you’ll have a chance to organize what you’ve learned. Then you will create your own project to explain how geologic processes have changed Earth’s surface over time.
