It is increasingly popular among young people to ignore loose change. Trillions of dollars in coins are left unused every day. They gather dust under beds and car seats or in pockets and on nightstands. Many are even tossed in the trash. Of course, most people use smartcards now in place of cash. Even when cash is required, people will run away before collecting their change. We need to bring back the idea of saving for a rainy day with coins!
