Calculating the volume of a cylinder depends on a special variable called \(\pi\). Pi, or \(\pi\), is a Greek letter that, in mathematics, is equal to a very long number that rounds to 3.14. To calculate the the volume of a cylinder you need to multiply \(\pi\) by the radius squared, which will give you the area of the base of the cylinder, then multiply that number times the height of the cylinder to get the volume.

where h = height
