1. During a lunar eclipse, the moon is on the far side of the Earth, and we see our own SHADOW on the moon.

2. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon is between the Sun and Earth, and the moon BLOCKS our view of the Sun.

3. Eclipses don't happen every month because the Moon's revolution around Earth is TILTED.

4. Eclipses only occur when the Moon is ALIGNED with the Earth, creating shadows.

5. Whether you see an eclipse or not depends on your LOCATION and where the shadow happens to fall.
