Water is essential for life on Earth. It is also what makes our planet so special. Seen from space, Earth looks like a bright blue, watery planet covered with wispy clouds. It is the only planet we currently know of with liquid water on its surface.
Water is all around us. It may run in a stream near your home, fall from the sky as rain or snow, or pour from your tap. It is very important that we make the best decisions about availability of water. There would be no life on Earth without water.
