Figure 1 shows a graph of brightness versus time for a star with three orbiting planets. The measurements were taken over a 40-day time period.
Figure 2 shows the light curves during the three individual planet transits: Planet Blue, Planet Purple, and Planet Red. On the x-axis, the “0” represents the midpoint of the transit.
Use what you have learned about exoplanet transits to figure out the order of the planets from their star. Which planet is closest to the star? Which is farthest away? Click Arrange It to begin.
