Have you been outside on hot days and cold days?
Sometimes the air outside feels hot. You might wear shorts to stay cool. Sometimes the air outside feels cold. You might wear a coat and hat to stay warm.
The temperature tells how hot or cold the air feels. Temperature can change. The morning might feel cool. But the afternoon might feel warm.
The air can feel different in another way. You can feel hot standing in a sunny spot. But you can feel cool standing in the shade. Trees and buildings make great shade!
