Step 5: Verify your diagram and consider actions.
Discuss your diagram with others. You might talk through it with a friend, a classmate, a parent, or a willing brother or sister. You may find that you need to add or remove a factor to make it clearer and more accurate.
When it's appropriate, and to make your presentation stronger, try to find data to support the theory in your diagram.
Depending on the issue, you may also try to identify areas to leverage, where a small action can have a larger impact. Ask yourself: What changes in the diagram would lead to a more desirable behavior? What strategy could I use or recommend to achieve these changes?
In some situations, you may be able to act upon these changes youself, and then observe real world results! In others, it may be possible to use a simulation model—perhaps a computer model or a physical model—to test your assumptions.
